I spend $5,668 per month on SaaS apps to run Onward (My profitable, bootstrapped 12-person B2B SaaS startup that's reshaping customer loyalty). Most of these have free plans and early on you can get credits for these services through Ramp or Brex, accelerators, or even startups like Secret.

I use those tools every day to build Gralio.ai. As a seasoned software veteran and tinkerer, I'm always happy to build my own software. Those tools, however, stand out and are indispensable for me.

Adam Tkaczyk

All of the apps are configured to be minimalist yet extensible, so my user interface is very clean, without many toolbars, pop-ups, etc. These small steps help me gain better focus and force me to use shortcuts. I don't skimp on software. If there is a tool that could accelerate my work, I'm ready to pay for it. But it doesn't mean that I'm spending my money without control. Most of the paid tools I use are provided by SetApp.

Alex Lieberman
Cofounder @ Morning Brew & storyarb
Hola - If you’re here, you’re probably a builder, like me. I built Morning Brew from senior year of college until we sold the business in 2020. And now, I’m building a variety of businesses in different spaces & different stages. With all of these businesses, I’ve had the opportunity to test a TON of different products & services, ultimately landing on a core stack that serves as my business operating system. I want to share that list with you so you don’t have to go through the same startup stack search, I’ve spent the last 10 years refining. Finally, a disclaimer. If you sign up for anything in my stack, I may get paid. But with that comes two promises. Every recommendation is a software or service that I’m actively using today I deeply believe in what I’m recommending. My reputation matters more to me than the money I get from these companies, so if I didn’t think you’d love the products, I wouldn’t tell you to look into them.

Here is my content workflow: 1. Discovery - Bookmarks (save great content for later) - Work (most insights come from doing the work) - Claude (brainstorm content ideas) 2. Development - Notion (store ideas and organize calendar) - Claude (improve written content) 3. Production - Figma (design graphics) - Vizard.ai (AI video editing) In the last 28 days, this workflow helped me get: - 300k views on LinkedIn - 500+ ICPs engaged - 15 demos booked - $150k pipeline generated → new insight for 2025 Video usually performs 50% to 100% better in terms of reach and engagement. (based on a few videos that averaged over 10,000 impressions) But video was never part of my strategy because of how long it takes to create. Until I found Vizard.ai Now, I just drop a long-form clip, Spark 1.0 analyzes both the visuals and audio beyond just speech—and edits video content with just one prompt. My video creation time went from hours to just 10 minutes. Safe to say that I'll be posting more videos!
